William Roger Clemens (born August 4, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio), nicknamed "The Rocket", is one of the preeminent Major League baseball pitchers of the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, and is widely considered to be one of the greatest pitchers of all time[1]. He has won seven Cy Young Awards — two more than any other pitcher. He throws and bats right-handed, and currently is a free agent at the end of the 2006 season at the age of 44.
